Why it’s important to return to the ideal weight? After the period of “forced lockdown” and the authorization to run outdoor again (subject to local geographic limitations) it is important to get ready for a gradual return to a normal physical activity in order to gain, as quickly as possible, the pre-quarantine condition.

We have summarized some tips written by our nutritionist Dr. Biorci that can help you to return to your ideal weight.

First of all, we must consider the purifying power of liquids. Hydration is, in fact, one of the fundamental elements for our well-being.

It has also been proved that some beverages can play an effective draining action and therefore help us to gain ideal weight by eliminating excess liquids.

What we suggest you?

For a week, you should eliminate snacks throughout the day and replace them with 500ml of herbal tea in the morning and 500ml in the afternoon. Obviously without sugar or sweeteners (including surrogates).

The post Quarantine herbal tea for trail runners

This easy “Do-it-yourself” herbal tea is made up of three important ingredients:

  • Lemon, rich in vitamin C, with antioxidant properties
  • Ginger, natural anti-inflammatory
  • Turmeric, able to induce faster lipid burning.

Ingredients and quantities

  • 1 l of water
  • 2 sliced ​​lemons
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly grated turmeric root
  • fresh ginger about 6-7 cm.

How to prepare the herbal tea

Boil the water. Pour the freshly grated roots, the lemon slices and wait 10 minutes. Filter and drink. Prefer organic lemons, ginger and the turmeric root root, to be grated.

To achieve the maximum effectiveness we suggest to repeat the “detox week” for one week at the beginning of each month.
