FROZEN PEAKS ULTRA TRAIL

Frozen Peaks is an event that includes 4 trail running races of different distances, 263K, 103K, 46K, 15K, which take place in the municipality of Kato Nevrokopi in Drama Greece. Kato Neurokopi is located at an altitude of 600m and has a cold and continental mountain climate, and a very particular and suggestive landscape that you would not expect to find. The best way to get there is to fly to Thessaloniki which is just under 2 hours away.

The 2022 Edition will take place from the 12th to the 15th of May.

The area has several interesting areas to visit: the traditional settlement in the village of Granitis, the historic bunker of Lisse, the artificial lakes of Lefkogeia and Potamoí, the ancient churches, the spectacular paths in the woods.

The longest race is called PANORAMA, it is an ultramarathon with a distance of 263K (6 Itra Points), which consists of 3 circular routes of about 90 km with start and finish in Nevrokopi. The 103K (4 Points Itra), HIGHLAND, has instead a path equivalent to a circular loop, this allows you to experience the best of the region, passing from the high mountains, to the enchanted woods and then back to Nevrokopi. The event is completed by the two shortest races, the 46K HEROES (2 Itra Points) and the 15K LISSE.

Digital Strategic Marketing Director - certified Innovation Manager - in multinational companies, she is still today the only Italian female athlete to have ran 900 km and 55,000m D+ in the mountains in a single stage race (Transpyrenea 2016, 3rd women overall). She counts numerous Podiums and international Victories on races over 100k. She holds a SNaQ CONI certification as a Trail Running Coach, Athletic Trainer and in Nutrition and Sports Supplementation. Since 2014 she is President and sports executive of innovative technology startups and companies, including Trail Running Movement and Digital Sport 360. She trains elite trail running athletes and she teaches in trail running coach certification courses. She is an author of sports articles on training, nutrition and supplementation in trail running and running, both in Italian and in English and Spanish. She manages relationships and collaborations with Federations and Race Organizers.
