The training program TRM Training Plan Extreme Trail 1000km is the only training plan in the world designed for impossible challenges that only few human beings can do.
It is a copy of the training plan used in Transyrenea 989 km by the TRM Coaches in 2016.
It enables to:
- optimize the training schedule with the athlete’s potential and the race calendar
- balance workloads considering training, competitions and recovery time
- improve the running techniques on different types of terrain
- develop adaptation to night running
- strengthen the muscle-tendons and joint aspects to prevent injuries caused by a multi-day effort. You will be training also in the Gym with workouts for long distances trail runners
- train prolonged resistance skills (Endurance) with specific outdoor sessions
- learn to manage sleep deprivation and plan micro-sleeps
- train your recovery capability during multi-day competitions
- earn how to manage the medical problems that most frequently arise including foot care, prevention and treatment of blisters
- choose the correct material and gear according to the conditions of the race, the terrain, the d+ and optimize the weight of the camelback
- learn to read and prepare maps and roadbooks
- choose and manage a GPS Navigator for races that are not marked

- trail runner with experience in trail running races > 200km, or Stage races > 200km, preferably with different weather conditions and terrain who want to train for endurance extreme ultra trail competitions such as the Transpyrenea 898km.
HOW TO APPLY
To start the program you need to:
- identify the training program considering your goal race distance of the year
- choose the duration of the program, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months. Keeping in mind that long the distance races require more training time
- send the necessary documentation for personal identification and fulfillment of legal obligations (identity document, health ID card, medical certificate)
- proceed to payment
After completing the procedure for the purchase and delivery of the documents, within 2 working days the Secretariat will send you the link to complete the Athlete Questionnaire (Assessment) and will confirm the start date of the program.

How does the activation process work?
After purchasing the program, the athlete must submit the required documentation, including a valid sports medical certificate. Within two working days, the TRM office sends the Athlete Questionnaire and confirms the official start date of the personalized training program.
Are there any mandatory additional services?
Yes. Access to any Trail Running Movement training program requires a one-time subscription to the EPS Membership and the Athlete Potential Analysis. These services are essential to ensure effective training planning and compliance with legal and sporting requirements.
