Race Strategy

The TRM Race Strategy is a PROFESSIONAL race plan developed by a TRM Coach according to a specific competition indicated by the athlete. Each plan is developed in relation to the race distance, from 45km to 1000km, and takes into account more elements such as the complexity of the competition, the weather conditions, the profile of the track, the refreshment points and life bases, the expected duration and the athlete’s goal. The Race Strategy is PERSONALIZED after a careful analysis of the athlete’s personal characteristics and evaluating his experience and results obtained in the past. The TRM Race Strategy has been successfully tested in first person by the TRM Coaches and dozens of athletes in the World, including athletes who participated in the Trail World Championships.




The TRM Race Strategy enables to:

  • optimize all the aspects related to the management of a competition in terms of time schedule and strategy to be adopted for the different sections of the race considering the profile of the track, the d+ and d-, the type of terrain and the technical skills of the athlete
  • define the products and gear to be used, optimize the preparation and weight of the camelback, etc.
  • choose the best trail running shoes based on the competition terrain
  • maximize the athlete‚Äôs potential and achieve the best in terms of performance


The Race Strategy includes:

  • analysis of previous competitions and long training sessions
  • a race plan for the specific competition
  • guide lines on the strategy to be adopted for each section of the race track
  • for ultra trail, indications on how to manage clothing and equipment changes, considering the profile of the competition, the location of the refreshment points and the expected weather conditions
  • programming and management of micro-sleeps for competitions lasting > 35 hours


The Race Strategy is suitable for:

  • expert trail runners and road runners who want to improve performance in competition
  • a beginner trail runner who wants to learn the correct management of a trail running race
  • ultra trail runners who prepare long-distance and multi-days races and need to manage more complex aspects


To apply for the Race Strategy you need to:

  • send the necessary documentation for personal identification and fulfillment of legal obligations (identity document, health ID card, medical certificate)
  • proceed to payment
