The TRM Training Plan Elite Athlete is a PROFESSIONAL program, developed for Elite trail runners, based on the TRM Method, a system tested in firsthand by the TRM Coaches and on hundreds of athletes all over the World. Each training plan is UNIQUE and CUSTOMIZED.
The training tables are developed with a retro-planning mode, starting from the goal races of the year. Workloads are progressive and modified every mesocycle, evaluating the athlete performance improvements.

The training program Elite Athlete enables to:

  • optimize the training evaluating the athlete’s potential and the race calendar
  • balance workloads considering training, competitions and recovery time
  • improve the running techniques on different terrains
  • strengthen the muscle-tendons and joints aspects to prevent injuries
  • develop endurance skills
  • choose the right material according to the conditions of the race, the terrain, the d+ and optimize the weight of the camelback


Your training program is

The training program includes:

  • survey on the athlete’s previous sporting experience (Assessment)
  • potential tests (threshold, HR% for each training zone, maximal ascending and descending Speed) and performance check tests to analyze the athlete’s improvements
  • race calendar plan
  • professional training program with the assignment of a specific Coach and dedicated Tutoring
  • monitoring and weekly feedback on specific workouts and re-adaptation of the training tables
  • definition of the race strategy plan for the goal competitions
  • general advice on sports nutrition
  • guidelines to avoid or manage injuries
  • advices on the purchase of gear, shoes and technology
  • assistance via telephone, WhatsApp, Email

The training program Training Plan is suitable for:

  • trail running or mountain running athletes with experience and high potential, individual or already belonging to a Team, who participate or aim to participate in prestigious national or international competitions, International Circuits (i.e.: Ultra-Trail World Tour, World Sky Series, etc.), etc.
  • trail running or mountain running athletes wishing to prepare the qualifying races for their National Trail Running Team
  • athletes already selected for the National Trail Running Team who need to finalize the preparation for the World Trail Running Championships.


To start the program you need to:

  • identify the training program considering your goal race distance of the year
  • choose the duration of the program, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months. Keeping in mind that long the distance races require more training time
  • send the necessary documentation for personal identification and fulfillment of legal obligations (identity document, health ID card, medical certificate)
  • proceed to payment

After completing the procedure for the purchase and delivery of the documents, within 2 working days the Secretariat will send you the link to complete the Athlete Questionnaire (Assessment) and will confirm the start date of the program.
