Trail Città di Cortona

Il Trail Città di Cortona si sviluppa su sentieri etruschi di cresta e di mezzacosta delle montagne cortonesi, strade basolate di antica memoria, splendidi crinali di grande panoramicità con spettacolari vedute del Lago Trasimeno e della Val di Chiana, boschi di conifere e castagneti, guadi del fiume Nestore e ponti romani da attraversare. La partenza e l’arrivo di tutte le distanze coincidono di fronte al Palazzo Comunale, che domina Piazza della Repubblica dal suo imponente scalone cinquecentesco. Oltre alla distanza piu’ lunga da 45km, esistono due versioni short da 24km e 15km.
The Trail Città di Cortona develops on Etruscan ridge and mid-mountain trail paths of the Cortona mountains, ancient roads of the past, beautiful ridges with great views of Lake Trasimeno and Val di Chiana, coniferous and chestnut woods and Roman bridges to cross. The departure and arrival of all race distances will be in front of the Palazzo Comunale, which dominates Piazza della Repubblica from its imposing sixteenth-century staircase. In addition to the longest distance of 45km, there are two short versions of 24km and 15km.
Digital Strategic Marketing Director – certified Innovation Manager – in multinational companies, she is still today the only Italian female athlete to have ran 900 km and 55,000m D+ in the mountains in a single stage race (Transpyrenea 2016, 3rd women overall). She counts numerous Podiums and international Victories on races over 100k. She holds a SNaQ CONI certification as a Trail Running Coach, Athletic Trainer and in Nutrition and Sports Supplementation. Since 2014 she is President and sports executive of innovative technology startups and companies, including Trail Running Movement and Digital Sport 360. She trains elite trail running athletes and she teaches in trail running coach certification courses. She is an author of sports articles on training, nutrition and supplementation in trail running and running, both in Italian and in English and Spanish. She manages relationships and collaborations with Federations and Race Organizers.
